# Bookkeeping vouchers and accounts (/en/businesses/integrations/netvisor/bookkeeping)

Much of a venue's money never goes through an invoice: card and online payments, cash, benefit payments, till sales and internal invoices all settle in Thril. Bookkeeping vouchers post them to Netvisor as one voucher (_tosite_) per venue per day, and your accountant books them from there. The ledger accounts and cost objects on this page decide where those sales, and the lines of [invoices in Netvisor](/businesses/integrations/netvisor/invoices), land.

Bookkeeping vouchers need an active [Netvisor integration](/businesses/integrations/netvisor) and the accounting rights in [Required API endpoint permissions](/businesses/integrations/netvisor#required-api-endpoint-permissions).

## Daily sales in the books [#daily-sales-in-the-books]

- **Sent every night.** Turn on **Send automatically every night**, and every morning Netvisor has yesterday's sales for each venue.
- **Till lines with their own account.** A line a cashier types in at the till books to the account for typed lines. You give it an account of its own under **Lines typed at the till** when you send to Netvisor.

## Ledger accounts and cost objects [#ledger-accounts-and-cost-objects]

Set an account and default cost objects for each Netvisor product, one per sport plus the Pro Shop product, with **Ledger accounts** and **Cost objects** in the **Actions** menu of the Netvisor integration. Priced items such as resources, memberships and Pro Shop variants have **Ledger account** and **Cost objects** fields of their own under **Netvisor bookkeeping**. A line on a Netvisor invoice can name its own under **Bookkeeping**.

The most specific one that is set wins: the invoice line, then the sold item, then the item's Netvisor product. With none set, invoice lines go to Netvisor's default sales account and voucher lines to **General sales**. Cost objects follow the same order.

A change applies to lines and sales from then on. Lines already saved and sales already made keep the account and cost objects they had.

Netvisor takes the VAT treatment from the account. Pick the accounts with your accountant. **Require a ledger account on every invoice line** makes every invoice line name its account.

## Voucher contents [#voucher-contents]

A voucher holds a venue's sales that settled in Thril on one day: card payments, cash, Epassi, the till's own payment methods and internal invoices. Netvisor and Amili invoices are booked on their own.

Set it up on the **Bookkeeping** page under **Settings** → **Company settings** → **Bookkeeping**. Its **Settings** choose the voucher type and the account for each kind of settlement, such as Stripe, Epassi, credit balances, gift card balances and internal invoices. One voucher type and one set of settlement accounts serve the whole company. Create a voucher type in Netvisor just for Thril, and pick the accounts with your accountant. For Stripe, use a clearing account and book each payout and Stripe's fees against it from your bank statement.

A gift card sale books to **Gift card balances**, because the money belongs to the holder until they spend it. When the card is spent, the amount books as sales with its VAT. The unspent balance of an expired card books as income. A gift card product can name its own account.

Netvisor works out the VAT per line from the gross amounts. Its VAT can differ from Thril's VAT report by a few cents.

## Sending by hand and every night [#sending-by-hand-and-every-night]

**Send to Netvisor** on the **Bookkeeping** page sends a period you pick, with a preview of each venue day first. Sending a period again corrects its days.

**Send automatically every night** sends the latest days every night, including card payments that settle late and next-morning refunds, and gets each day in before its VAT period locks. Turn it on once your accountant has checked a send you made by hand. A day marked **Period locked** goes in after your accountant opens the period in Netvisor.

For your accountant, **Bookkeeping report** gives a PDF of a period's money per payment method and sales per account and VAT rate, and the send dialog offers the vouchers as a CSV file.
