# Profile privacy and blocking (/en/consumers/privacy)

Other signed-in Thril users always see your name, photo, username and bio. Your privacy settings decide who sees the rest, who can find you and who can message you. Each setting can be **Everyone**, **Your friends** or **No one**.

## Your privacy settings [#your-privacy-settings]

On the web, open **My Thril**, choose **All settings** and then **Privacy**. In the app, open the **Profile** tab and choose **Settings**. The settings are under **Privacy**.

| Setting | What it decides |
| ------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Profile details visibility** | Who sees your favourite venues on your profile |
| **Who can search me** | Who finds you when they search for people on Thril |
| **Who can see my activities** | Who sees your leagues, match stats and upcoming activities on your profile |
| **Who can message me** | Who can start a new chat with you. People you've already chatted with can still message you |

If you turned on **Mark my profile as public** when you signed up, everyone can see your profile details, find you and message you, and your friends see your activities. If you left it off, every setting starts at **Your friends**.

Each CrossFit result you log has its own setting. See [Logging your CrossFit results](/consumers/crossfit#who-sees-your-results).

## What venues and other people always see [#what-venues-and-other-people-always-see]

- Venues where you book or buy see your name and contact details as their customer.
- The venue decides whether an event or class shows who is taking part.
- People who aren't signed in don't see participants' names on Thril's event and league pages.
- A rating you give a venue shows with your first name.

## Blocking someone [#blocking-someone]

In the app, open the person's profile, open its menu and choose **Block user**. Blocking removes the person from your friends. They can't send you a friend request or start a chat with you, and they don't see your activities.

To unblock someone, open **Blocked users** in your settings, on the web or in the app, and choose **Unblock**.
