Inventory and orders
Thril tracks the stock of shop products, records deliveries, waste and stock counts, values the stock, and lists online purchases waiting for pickup.
Inventory keeps the stock of every tracked product, from the delivery to the sale, and shows what it cost and what was lost. Orders lists every item sold, and staff hand over online purchases from there. Each venue of your company has its own stock.
Stock alerts, counts and click and collect
Sell what is on the shelf. Turn on Track stock on your drinks or protein bars. Each sale takes one off, and at zero the item stops selling online and at the POS.
A reorder warning. Set Low stock threshold to 12. The inventory flags the item at 12 or fewer.
A monthly stock count. Start an inventory count on the last day of the month. Staff count the shelf, and finishing the count corrects the balances.
Knowing your waste. Record expired energy drinks and damaged shirts as withdrawals with their reason. Waste shows the share of stock lost this month.
Click and collect. Turn on Track handover on the team jacket. Online purchases wait on the Orders page until the customer picks theirs up.
Stock settings
Stock is per variant, and variants with Track stock count.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Track stock | Every sale takes the item out of stock. At zero, it stops selling online and at the POS |
| Allow backorder | The item keeps selling at zero and the balance goes negative. For preorders and items on order |
| Low stock threshold | The variant is flagged as low at this balance or below |
| Assumed order cycle (days) | How often you plan to reorder. The inventory rates the selling pace against it |
A cancelled booking returns its tracked extras to stock. Rentals count availability against the rental time instead. See What a rental takes.
How stock moves
| Movement | When to use it |
|---|---|
| Arrivals | A delivery comes in. Record each product's quantity and unit cost |
| Sales | Automatic, online, at the POS and with bookings |
| Withdrawals | Stock leaves without a sale, with a reason such as damaged, expired or theft |
| Inventory counts | You count the shelf and correct the balance |
| Adjust stock | A one-off correction on a single product, with a reason |
To correct a saved arrival or withdrawal, record a new movement.
An inventory count covers All physical products or Specific products. The expected balance stays hidden until someone chooses Show expected stock. Staff count what is really on the shelf. The summary shows each product's starting balance, counted quantity and difference, and you pick which corrections to apply.
Days of stock and stock value
Stock duration estimates how many days the stock lasts at the recent sales rate, and with an order cycle set, whether the item sells as planned.
Stock is valued at cost, first in first out. Each arrival is a batch with its unit cost, and sales and withdrawals use up the oldest batch first. Record the unit cost on every arrival to keep the stock value right.
Orders
Orders lists every shop product, rental and extra sold, one row per item. When a product has a form, each item's answers are on its row, and staff can edit them, such as a name to print. To take an item back, refund its payment.
Handing over purchases
With Track handover on a product, its online purchases wait on the Orders page as Waiting for pickup. Staff choose Mark as handed over when the customer collects the item, and Undo handover reverses a mistake. A sale at the POS counts as handed over straight away.
Rentals and booking extras
Rackets and gear rent out with bookings, a sauna turn sells after a session, extras are offered while customers book, and lights or a sauna switch on around the booking.
Sale limit, sale window and regular price
A membership, session card, top-up or gift card product can sell to a limited number of customers, during a set time, with the regular price shown next to the offer.
