Getting started with Thril
A new venue, studio, club or coach goes from sign-up to taking bookings and payments on Thril with AI-assisted onboarding, Stripe verification, a plan and going live.
After you sign up, onboarding sets up the basics for your kind of business. The Thril Training Camp then takes you through Stripe verification, a plan and going live, and you decide when customers can start booking. If you are moving from another booking system, follow Switch to Thril alongside this page to bring your customers, members and bookings with you.
Onboarding for venues, studios, clubs and coaches
Right after signing up you choose what you are setting up: Venue, Coach or Club / association. You also say whether you agreed on the setup with a Thril contact or are setting it up on your own, which changes the steps and guidance you see. Both choices stay fixed once the company is created.
With Onboard with AI, Thril looks up your business and fills in the setup for you to review. In Finland, Thril fills in the company's name and address from the business register when you search by business ID. Onboarding then asks for what your kind of business needs:
Courts and simulators
Padel, tennis, golf simulator and darts venues set up resources, opening hours and hourly prices. Set up pricing with AI turns a description of your prices into pricing rules.
Pilates, yoga and group fitness
Rooms, instructors and a first class, with how classes take payment and whether members can cancel or sell their place.
Clubs and associations
Your sports, instructors, a first membership and a first event. The club books courts at the venues it trains at.
Coaches
Your sports, your instructor profile, class settings and the venues you coach at.
Everything you set up in onboarding is ordinary Thril data. A court is a resource, a price is a pricing rule and a first membership is a membership, and you edit each of them in its own place later.
Sign up with an email address that is not on a customer account in the Thril app. Staff accounts and customer accounts are separate.
Stripe verification
Customers pay through Stripe, and Stripe pays the money out to your company's bank account. Stripe verification opens once onboarding is done. Stripe asks for the company's details and the people who own or run it, and it may ask for an ID document or a document from the business register. Once Stripe accepts them, you can go live. Read more in Stripe payouts.
Choosing a plan
Subscribe to Thril opens after Stripe verification. You pick a plan and pay for it with a card. The plan sets what you pay Thril and the commission on customer payments.
Next to the plans you can mark interest in add-ons: Thril POS, Thrilock for door access, Thrilight for court lights and the Netvisor integration. Thril's sales team then contacts you.
Before you subscribe, you can already set up resources and prices, add customers, and create memberships, session cards, shop products, emails and draft events, within trial limits. The subscription opens the rest: customer import, courses, tournaments, leagues, promo codes, customer lists, recurring reservations and invoices.
To change the card your Thril subscription is charged to, open Manage my subscription on the Stripe settings page. Your venues stay live while the subscription and the Stripe verification are active.
Going live
A new venue starts as Inactive, hidden from customers. Go live switches it to Active, and customers can find it, book and pay. You can go live whenever you are ready once Stripe has verified you and you have a plan. Check your prices, your venue page and your cancellation deadline for bookings or for classes first.
A venue can go back to Inactive later, for example for a summer break. Bookings already made stay. Read more in Company and venue details.
Side quests before customers arrive
Next to the main steps, the Training Camp lists Side quests: the setup most venues want done before customers arrive. They stay after you go live until you choose Close the training camp, and everything you set up stays.
