Weekly classes and event series

A weekly class timetable in Thril, with each class as a recurring event series, changes to every class of a series at once, and templates for setups you reuse.

A weekly timetable in Thril is a set of event series, one for each class. Reformer pilates on Mondays and Wednesdays at 18:00 from September to December is one series. Every class in it is an event of its own that customers sign up for separately. For a fixed group that signs up once for the whole term, use Courses.

Turning a class into a weekly series

When you create the class, choose Recurring event, then pick a date range, the weekdays, the times and how often it repeats. Each occurrence is its own event with its own participants, and the series is listed on the Event series tab.

Registration times count from each class's own start. If registration closes 12 hours before the class, Monday's 18:00 class closes at 6:00 that morning and Wednesday's class closes on Wednesday.

Changing every class in a series at once

  • Edit series changes every upcoming occurrence, also those you edited one by one. Past events stay as they were.
  • Extend series adds occurrences with the series' settings and no participants.
  • Change times moves or lengthens many events at once, also across several series.
  • Cancel series cancels every upcoming occurrence. You choose how to refund the participants, as for a single event.

Edit selected events in the events list changes the shared settings of many events at once, also across series.

Templates

Save as template keeps an event's setup, without the dates or the participants, for the next one. You can share a template with your company's other venues, and your venue stays the one that edits it. Editing a template changes the events you create from it afterwards.

Turning reservations into an event

Unpaid manual reservations on the same day can become one event, for example courts your staff booked for a group. Select them on the calendar and choose Turn into event. The event takes their resources and times, and the reservations are cancelled when you publish it. Read more in Managing reservations.
