Tournaments

Padel Americanos, Mexicano nights, club championships and golf simulator competitions in Thril, with brackets, sign-ups, payments, live scores and results.

Thril takes the sign-ups and payments for your tournaments, draws the matches, lets players enter their own scores from the app, and keeps the leaderboard live while you run the courts.

Create a tournament from Events with Create → Tournament. It shows in the events list and follows the same registration and payment settings as events, with the differences these pages point out.

Americanos, club championships and simulator nights

A Friday Americano. One Americano bracket, 16 players, 32 points per match, on four courts. Players sign up alone, the partners change every round, and the leaderboard ranks everyone by the points they won.

A club championship with levels. One tournament with brackets such as Men A, Men B, Women A and Mixed, each with its own format, limits and courts. Maximum players in the tournament caps the total to what your courts can hold.

A Mexicano ladder night. A Mexicano bracket keeps drawing new rounds from the leaderboard until the booked court time runs out. Players meet opponents of their own level all evening.

A round-robin weekend. Fixed pairs in a round-robin bracket, best of three sets.

Sign-ups before the plan. With Decide bracket formats after registration, you collect the sign-ups first and pick the format when you know the numbers.

A golf simulator competition. A Stableford night or a week-long championship on your golf simulators, with classes, start blocks, scorecards and a leaderboard. Read more in Golf simulator competitions.

For a season of matches over weeks or months, with divisions and standings, use Leagues.

Brackets, prices and teams

A tournament holds one or more brackets. A bracket is one competition inside the tournament, such as Mixed A, with its own format, team size, participant limits and courts. Each bracket fills and confirms on its own, like an event. The schedule, registration, visibility and the overall player cap belong to the tournament. A tournament has one sport. A padel and a tennis competition are two tournaments.

Price, discounts and courts are set Per tournament for every bracket at once, or Per bracket. The price is per player. In a pairs bracket, one player signs the whole team up by naming the teammates.

A recurring tournament repeats every chosen number of weeks or months, as a weekly Americano would.

A participation form can ask each team for a team name or an emergency contact. The player who signs the team up answers for everyone.

Each promo code and session card chooses the tournaments it covers.

Tournament managers

A tournament manager is a customer who can enter scores in the Thril app for any match in the tournament, whether they play or not. A club volunteer can enter every result while your staff run the courts.

Templates and copies

A template keeps a tournament's setup for the next one and can be shared with your company's other venues. A clone copies an existing tournament for a one-off repeat.

Signing up and following the leaderboard

Customers find a public tournament on your venue page and in the Thril app, pick a bracket and sign up, alone or with their teammates. Once the matches are drawn, they see their matches, the other brackets and a live leaderboard. A members-only tournament shows only to holders of the memberships you pick.

When you change the schedule or the price of a published tournament, tell the players in the tournament chat. Players who already paid keep their price.
