Announcements

Announcements reach your customers on your venue page in the Thril app and on the web, for one venue or several, with an optional push notification.

An announcement tells customers something they need to know, where they already look: your venue page in the Thril app and on the web. A holiday schedule, a power cut, a studio closed for renovation, league signups opening. With a push notification, it reaches phones the moment it starts.

An announcement is a service message. It reaches the customers you choose whether or not they allow email offers. Use it for what people need to know. For offers, or when the message must land in the inbox, send an email.

Typical announcements

A closure notice for everyone. Leave the audience as Everyone, turn on Send push notification, and set Starts to now. Anyone who opens your venue sees it, signed in or not, and your customers with the app get the push.

A schedule change for one group. Choose Only selected customers and pick a customer list of the people in that class or course. For a league, use a static list you fill by hand. You can add individual customers by name too.

A season opening posted in advance. Publish it now with a start next Monday at 08:00. It appears and sends its push then, with nothing to remember on the day.

One notice for a chain. Pick All venues or Selected venues. Customers see your company's name and logo on it at each venue, and a customer of three venues gets the push once. All venues includes venues you add later, and venue staff can Duplicate a company announcement to post their own copy.

Timing

Starts and Ends set when the announcement shows, in your venue's time zone. Leave the end empty and it stays until you end it. End now takes it down at once and keeps it in your list. Delete also removes it from customers' notification lists.

The push notification

The push goes out once, at the start time, to customers with the Thril app and notifications on. Everyone in the audience finds the announcement in their notification list. Ending or deleting an announcement before its start cancels the push.

An edit after the push changes what customers see. For a change people must hear about, post a new announcement.

Don't show to these customers takes customer lists and individual customers, and always wins over a chosen list. Customers who join a chosen list after the push still see the announcement when they open the venue.
