Door access for members
Gym, studio and climbing wall members open the doors during set hours without a booking. Works with Thrilock, Rollock, Tolotrack and Kulku.io.
A membership can open your doors for its members during the hours you choose, without a booking. A gym or a climbing wall open to members from 6 to 22 runs without anyone at the desk. Thrilock, Rollock, Tolotrack and Kulku.io give each member their own access.
Connect the lock system first. See Access control.
Setting up member access
Set it up on the membership's Integrations tab with Add new integration. A membership sold at several venues gets its access set up at each venue.
| System | What the member gets | What you choose on the membership |
|---|---|---|
| Thrilock | App unlock and RFID tags, and a personal PIN if you want one | Thrilock access paths, and Give each member a door PIN |
| Rollock | A personal PIN for lock groups, and door buttons for remote locks | Rollock lock groups, and Controllable locks for the buttons |
| Tolotrack | A personal PIN, and gate buttons | Controllable gates |
| Kulku.io | A door button in the app | Doors, by their lock names in Kulku.io |
Allowed access times set the hours for each weekday. A membership with every day left empty opens doors only with a booking.
Members find their code and door buttons with the membership in their wallet, on the web and in the Thril app. A personal PIN also arrives by email.
Access start and end
- Access starts when the membership starts, also for a membership bought ahead of its start date.
- Access stops when the membership ends, the member is removed or a pause starts. It also stops when a renewal is still unpaid a week after it fell due. Access comes back when the membership is in order again. See Unpaid renewals.
- Current members keep their access when you hide the membership from the shop.
Adding access to existing members
Sync members on the membership's Integrations tab gives access to the members who had the membership before you added the integration. Run it once after you add an integration to a membership with members.
Changing a live membership
With Kulku.io and Thrilock, a change to the doors or the hours reaches every member. With Rollock and Tolotrack, the change reaches new members, and Thril support updates the members who already have access.
RFID tags with Thrilock
To give a member a tag, open the member's Integrations tab, select Register tag and hold the tag at a reader. The tag opens the doors of the membership's access paths.
When a member cannot get in
- Open the member's membership and its Integrations tab. The Access code column shows the member's PIN, if they have one.
- If Status is Removed or Pending removal, check that the membership is in force, not paused, and has no renewal unpaid for over a week.
- If the access is Active, check that the integration's Status in the settings is Active, and that the membership's doors and Allowed access times cover the door and the hour.
- Missing integration config means the integration is switched off or the membership has no doors chosen. For Failed creation or Failed update, send the member's name to Thril support. With Thrilock, the Event log shows the Reason for a denied entry. See When a door does not open.
Booking codes and member access come from different settings. A member can have one without the other.
Access control and door codes
Customers get a door code, a door link or a door button that works for the time they booked. Thril works with Thrilock and nine partner lock systems.
QT Systems
Customers get a QT Systems door code for each booking, and the lights switch on before the booking and off after it. Mapping resources, holding a door open for an event, and what you need from QT Systems.
