Selling more time

Thril offers customers more time when their booking is ending, lets them book a slot that has already started, and sells half-hour extensions at a price you set.

The easiest hour to sell is the one right after a booking ends, while the players are still on the court. Another is the walk-in at 21:10 who wants the court that has stood empty since 21:00. Selling more time sells both online, and staff do nothing.

It has three parts. The reminder works alone, or all three work together.

For time nobody has booked at all, use Empty slot alerts.

The three parts in practice

"Want another hour?" Near the end of a booking, the players get a push notification offering the next hour on the same court when it is free.

The evening's empty courts on sale until 21:30. Booking after the start on your courts, with 30 minutes allowed. A customer can book the 21:00 to 22:00 slot at 21:15.

Half an hour more at a discount. Your price list sells whole hours, and a court is often free for 30 minutes before the next booking. A 30-minute extension at 60% sells that half hour to the players at the end of their booking.

The reminder

With Remind customers their slot is ending on, every participant of a booking the customer made gets one push notification near its end, when the same resource is free right after and customers can book it. Customers without the app see the offer in their booking on the web.

Booking after the start

Let customers book a slot after it has started lets customers book a slot after its start time, for as long as you set. They pay the full normal price for the whole slot. You pick the resources from those customers can book with no minimum advance booking time.

Extra time at the end of a booking

Extensions work with Let customers book a slot after it has started on. Each one is a length and a share of the normal price. If your price list has that duration, the share applies to its price, and otherwise to the hourly price. A customer whose own price is lower, through a membership for example, pays the lower one. 0% gives the extra time for free.

Extensions are offered to the players of a booking that is ending, on a resource that is still free. Besides the reminder, the booking itself shows an offer to add more time, on the web and in the app, while there is time to sell. Without extension durations, the offer shows the durations your price list already sells.

On a golf simulator with SimSalaThril, a popup on the screen offers more time before the booking ends.

Extra time a customer has bought is a reservation of its own and stays booked and paid when you change the settings.

Tracking extra time sales
