Event attendance
Staff mark who showed up to events and classes, customers check themselves in on location, and customers who keep missing events get a temporary ban.
Attendance tracking records who actually came to a class. The instructor takes the register at the start of a pilates or spin class, or customers check themselves in from the app. With attendance on record, you can ban customers who book and keep not turning up.
Turn on Enable attendance tracking in your event and class settings, then Track attendance on each event that needs it. A template carries the switch to new events.
Marking attendance as staff
On an event that tracks attendance, mark each confirmed participant present or absent in the participant list, or press Mark all as present to mark everyone without a mark. A coach can mark attendance on the classes they instruct.
Staff can change any mark at any time, also one a customer made, and the list shows which marks customers made themselves.
Letting customers check themselves in
Allow customers to mark their own attendance gives confirmed customers a Check in button on the event, which they can also undo. Customers mark themselves present, and staff mark the absences.
You set how early before the start check-in opens, such as 15 minutes, and how long after the end it stays open.
Location-verified check-in
A maximum distance, such as 300 metres, means a customer has to be at the venue for the check-in to count. The phone shares its location once, at check-in, and the distance counts from the coordinates of your venue's address. Set them before you turn this on. Check-in works best in the Thril app on a phone. A desktop browser guesses its position from the network.
Check-in at the door
With Thrilock, a confirmed participant who opens the event's door with their own PIN code or RFID tag is marked present. This works without self check-in.
Banning customers who don't show up
Ban customers with repeated absences stops a customer from signing up for a while after too many absences. You set the numbers, for example three absences in 60 days bring a 14-day ban. Absences that staff mark count towards a ban, and staff have 12 hours to correct a mistaken mark.
A banned customer cannot sign up for events, classes, leagues or tournaments anywhere in your company until the ban ends, and Thril tells them so. Staff can change or lift the ban on the customer's profile. Read more in Banning customers.
Cancel the customer's bookings also cancels the customer's event and class sign-ups that start before the ban ends, anywhere in your company, and gives the places to the people queuing. You choose whether money already paid goes back to the original payment method, to the customer's balance, or stays with you.
Each venue counts absences at its own events, and the ban covers the whole company. A no-show who hadn't paid still owes for the class. Blocking customers who don't pay handles that.
Managing class and event participants
Staff add walk-ins to classes and events, take cash, card or session card payments at the desk, give one person a different price, and refund or remove participants in Thril.
Tournaments
Padel Americanos, Mexicano nights, club championships and golf simulator competitions in Thril, with brackets, sign-ups, payments, live scores and results.
