Membership benefits
Members get their own reservation and service prices, credits or a session card on every renewal, earlier booking and discounts on other products.
Benefits are what a member gets while their membership is active. Thril applies them at checkout on its own. Add them on the Benefits & restrictions step of the membership form.
A short list a customer can repeat back sells better than several overlapping price rules. "Members pay €15 an hour and book a week ahead" is a promise.
Reservation discount
A percentage or an amount off reservations, limited to the sports, resources, days and times you choose. A daytime discount rewards members and fills quiet hours without lowering your evening prices, such as 25% off golf simulators Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 14:00.
On a shared reservation the discount comes off the member's own share.
Reservation custom pricing
Custom pricing gives members their own price list. Add the Reservation custom pricing benefit, then set its pricing rules on the membership's Custom pricing tab. Use it when the promise is a set rate, such as "members pay €15 an hour", and a discount when the member price should follow your normal prices.
Where custom pricing applies, it replaces your normal price. With Only when cheaper under When should this price be used?, the member pays whichever is lower. When a reservation discount takes more off than the custom price, the discount wins.
Service discount
A discount on service bookings such as personal training, physio or private lessons: a percentage, an amount off, or a fixed price. Limit it by service, weekday and time of day. A "Gold member price" of 20% off personal training and private pilates sessions on weekdays from 06:00 to 16:00 is one service discount.
The member sees the member price when they pick a time. When several service discounts match, the biggest applies, and a promo code the customer enters replaces it.
Credits and session cards
A membership can grant credits or a session card, once when it starts or again on every paid renewal. A monthly membership that grants a ten-class card on every renewal gives members ten classes a month.
What was granted stays with the member and follows its own validity. Each renewal adds a new card next to the old one. When unused classes shouldn't carry over, give the card a Validity in days that matches the billing cycle, such as 30 days.
Booking earlier
Early reservation lets members book a set number of days further ahead than your booking window, on every resource. When a member holds several memberships with early booking, the longest applies. To keep prime time open for everyone, add a reservation restriction.
Reservation window restriction sets the member's own booking window, such as two days ahead on an off-peak membership. It overrides early booking from any membership.
Discounts on other products
Members can get a discount on events, scheduled classes, tournaments, courses, session cards and shop products. Set it in the Discounts section of that product or class, where you pick the memberships that get it.
A 100% discount on your scheduled classes makes an unlimited class membership. Pair it with an event restriction to cap how many classes a member holds at once. For a weekly timetable, set the discount once per class series with Edit series.
When benefits apply
Benefits apply while the membership is active, also while a renewal waits for payment. They stop during a pause. Unpaid renewals says when an unpaid membership ends or its bookings are blocked.
Setting up a membership
A membership in Thril has a price and billing, rules on who can buy it, overlapping memberships, visibility, forms and sales limits.
Reservation and event restrictions
Restrictions cap how many reservations and event registrations a member can hold, and decide whether a member past the limit is blocked or pays the standard price.
