Pricing and trials

Recurring memberships can start with a trial or an introductory price, give one member goodwill pricing, and promote the offer on your venue page.

A recurring membership can go through several prices. A new member starts with a trial, pays an introductory price for the first few renewals, and then the normal price. Later you can give one member a free or cheaper period.

The order of prices

A new member pays the trial price, then the introductory periods, then the normal price. Goodwill pricing added later joins the member's Pricing order after any discounted periods already there.

Take a €50 monthly membership with a 14-day trial for €10 and two introductory periods at €30, and give one member a free goodwill period later. The member pays €10 when joining, €30 when the trial ends and €30 again at the next renewal. The renewal after that is free, and then the price returns to €50.

Introductory and goodwill periods replace an Every payment discount for the periods they cover. A discounted period is used at its renewal. A renewal that a payment-stopping pause skips uses no discounted period.

New-member offers

Trials and introductory pricing go to customers who have never held this membership, and so do First purchase only discounts and promo codes. A returning customer pays the membership's own price, with any Every payment discount. Members you add yourself follow the same rule, and goodwill pricing is yours to give to anyone.

Promote an offer on the venue page

Set up a Trial period, Introductory pricing or both, and turn on Promote this offer on the venue page. Your venue page then shows the offer as a card, such as "14 days free, then €49/month" or "First 3 months €9.90/month, then €49/month". When the introductory price is above the normal price, the card leads with the trial if there is one, otherwise with the normal price, and states the first period after it, such as "€19/month" and "First month €49/month, then €19/month". When the membership has a regular price, the card shows it struck through next to the lower of the introductory and normal price.

Each venue promotes one membership at a time. A membership available in all venues puts the card on every venue page of your company, unless a venue promotes one of its own.

The card shows to customers who could buy the offer: signed-in customers who have never held the membership and hold no current membership at your venue, and visitors on the web, who sign in from the card. It opens the membership in your shop and disappears after the purchase. The card shows while the membership is on sale online with an offer, next to any welcome offer card.
