Switch to Thril

Customers, members, balances and bookings move to Thril from another booking system, such as Playtomic, MATCHi, Sweetspot or a spreadsheet. What to set up first, what to import and what to connect.

Your customers keep their balances, your members keep their memberships, and your regulars keep their weekly slots. Thril imports all of it from your old system's exports or any CSV file.

The venue and its products

Create the account, go through onboarding for your kind of business, verify the company with Stripe and subscribe to a plan. The imports open with the subscription. See Getting started.

Keep the venue Inactive while you build, and customers see it only when you go live.

Build the products before the imports, because each import matches its rows to what is already in Thril:

Customers, members and balances

Import customers brings contact details, marketing consent, credits, a membership and each customer's booking and spending history. Customers who already use Thril are linked to their account by email. See Importing customers.

Members on monthly billing come in with Import members on their membership, with the date of each member's first renewal in Thril. They add a payment card when they pay that first renewal, and Thril reminds them when it is due. See Importing and copying members.

  • Session cards. Import purchases on the Session cards page brings the cards customers own, with the sessions left and the expiry date. See Importing session card purchases.
  • Credits. Import credit balances brings balances that were not in the customer file.
  • Businesses you invoice. Import company customers brings their business IDs and e-invoicing details. See Company customers.

Season slots and upcoming bookings

  • Season slots. The recurring reservations import brings each club's and regular's weekly slot as a series, from a CSV file or a Playtomic export. See Recurring reservations.
  • Single bookings. Import reservations brings upcoming bookings, with whether each one is paid. See Managing reservations.

Doors, employee benefits and accounting

  • Doors. Connect your lock system under access control once the old system has stopped sending it bookings. Sync future reservations then sends every upcoming Thril booking to the lock. On Thrilock, Import tags brings your customers' key tags and matches them to the imported customers by email.
  • Employee benefits. Connect Epassi and the other providers your customers pay with. See Employee benefits.
  • Accounting. Connect Netvisor for bookkeeping, and set up invoicing for customers who pay by invoice.

Go live

Go live switches the venue to Active. Send everyone a Transactional email the same day: they sign in to Thril with the email address they used before, and their balance, membership and bookings are waiting.

The first month on Thril

  • First renewals. On each membership's Members tab, the payment status shows which members have paid their first renewal in Thril.
  • App sign-ups. A dynamic customer list with Has Thril mobile app set to no shows who has not installed the app yet. Email them a reminder.
  • Bookings and sales. Compare Net sales excl. VAT and Utilisation rate in Statistics with the same month in your old system.
